Well, crap. We have to figure out what to do with the Florida house pretty much right now.
Justin & I co-own it, and when we had to move to Georgia for work, Justin's brother agreed to stay at the house basically to take care of it and let a room to help pay the mortgage. But he's always hated the neigborhood, and now he's fed up and moving out.
So now we have to decide if it's feasible to keep it as a rental property (we don't know anything about the legal end of that) or if we're better off trying to sell it, despite the shitty market. We can't anything like afford to pay the whole mortgage plus our expenses up here in GA. We bought it in 2004 for 115k, 10k down, 6.25 fixed rate, and it's now paid down to 100k, with payments now at 1.1k/mo. Other houses in the neighborhood go for totally random looking prices. I don't know crap about crap. I feel an awful lot like we ripped ourselves off - if we'd never bought it we could have rented something much cheaper, kept our 10k, and not have fucked up our credit card/saving situation over this last year, paying out whatever 13k on the mortgage for a house that's in limbo whilst also trying to get settled and jobbed in Georgia.
And the other problem is, we have to figure out what to do with all our stuff that's in storage in the spare room in FL. Our apartment here is tiny.
So, FUCK, basically.
In other news, Berserk is AWESOME... and is now on another short break.
Torchwood Season 2 completely obliterated season one for general goodness. Only one 'dud' episode IMO. Though.. lots of gay. Very gay. Um.. not actually complaining. New Doctor Who starts soon, too.

Oh and picofnewcat.
He totally stole my lunch today - ate a slice of steak right off the stovetop. Little bugger.

Date: 2008-04-04 12:49 pm (UTC)...and yay for steak-cat. Also yay for Torchwood. I have still had eye-rolling "seriously? seriously, this is what you think we the audience want?" moments, but I am willing to let it all slide for the general improvement in morale and also I love Ianto.
I misinterpreted one scene to be funnier than it actually was. :( The "this is very homoerotic" one. I initially thought Gwen was protesting a potential threesome.

Date: 2008-04-04 03:57 pm (UTC)XDXD yes well, with Torchwood, I get the impression it's more about RTD going OMG YEY LOOK WHAT I CAN PUT ON TV LOOK LOOK THAT MAN IS ON TOP OF THAT OTHER MAN HEHEE than what the audience wants per se. Anyhow, large numbers of the littel 14 yrs old fangirls who are not supposed to be watching the show anyhows are v smitten.
And yes Ianto seems to have been given the gift of a much more consistent characterization in the second season. :)
