Whoo.. well.. The hurricanes seem to be taking a break. Whew. (I live ~50 miles south of Tampa, near the coast, and got minor damage and power knocked out for a few days each for Charley, Frances, and Jeanne - Ivan just rained on us.

I did indeed get to go to Dragoncon! It was great. I ended up flying to bane_6's place and riding down to ATL with her. Many cool things were seen, and I picked up a discount badass Aura Battler Dunbine MG kit & a Todwryneck HG kit. YAY KITS!! between these and all my clearance Zoids, man, I ain't NEVER gonna run out of kits to build. Shoot, I still have that Killerdome from barnup_ok to put together, too. :D Hooray for Kits That Aren't Gundams. And my old bestest-friend Kali brought me a plushie Beanish she made. :D

Having a mortgage is exciting. I actually have to balance my checkbook now.

I made an appointment for December to get my impacted-ass wisdom teeth out. About a grand and a half. Owie. Luckily, I'm missing one naturally - so I'll spend the money that one *would* have taken, on GETTING KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT. Lith no awakey for bone cuttengs plz.

And I finally signed up for Deviantart in the vain hopes that it'll encourage me to actually put more art online.

demonoflight is visiting the US with her family this week, and I got to chat with her on the phone for a couple minutes. Man! That was fun.. It's always so much fun to speak to someone you've known online for a long time. Apparantly she got wierded out about it afterwards though. I sent the Pokemon cards I'd picked up for her to her hotel, hopefully they'll get there ok and help cheer her up a bit. ;)

Also: Still love BERSERK. The new Berserk PS2 game is coming out next week in Japan, and I should have a copy on the way care of the fantastic, fabulous, lucky Lucid. (Tired of dealing with big companies to get your raw Japanese manga fix? Give Lucid a try! She's wonderful & has good rates.)

Good luck with wisdom teeth... I also have to get them removed, and will probably negotiate to be put under for that. Does it cost extra?

Yeah, sedation costs $350 at the place I'm going to. He is on the expensive side, but I'm willing to pony up a little extra for good dental work. I *could* get it done with just lidocaine at no extra cost.. uh.. but yeah, I'd rather give the nice man my money and be *very* unaware of the grisly details.

Yeah, nothing worse than waking up half way through, and then even though youcan't feel the pain, you can feel the dentist cracking bone and tooth, and all you can do is tighten your hands to the chair and twisting your legs around one another into a knot.. *shudders violently*

Which is why the second time, I told him to up my anaesthetic. Slept right through it. Goddamn weasel metabolism..

I think the doctor I went to only did them with the patient knocked out. I know he preferred it. I was fortunate enough to have them done while I was still under parental insurance, so it wasn't my worry how much stuff cost. My father's had a long history of dental problems, so the one doctor my parents made a point to take me and my sister to regularly was the dentist. As soon as I hit 18 they did an x-ray and sure enough, my bottom wisdom teeth were already coming in perpendicular to the rest. But being knocked out = extremely good, except for the throwing up and feeling like shit from a combination of anesthetic and painkillers. But I'd rather be couchridden for a weekend than watch them pull bloody chunks from my mouth, and it's not like I could eat solid food anyway.

I feel for you on the wisdom teeth, mine will need to be pulled as well but it won't happen until after the first of the year due to how much my insurance wants to shell out. (Already had over a grand of work done already, woo.) I'll be pulling for you.
