Shockingly, still not dead
Jul. 30th, 2005 03:22 pmMan! Everybody is having kids. *points* oooold!
*chuckle* just kidding. I'm happy for them... And happy I'm not them. ;)
Well, let's see, what's been going on in the unemployed world of Lith?
My sister psychically detected my plan to visit her, and called later that day to tell me she was flying down to visit. We had an awesome time. I still need to go see her place, though - just gotta schedule it. I haven't been to Seattle since '94.
I'm all proud cause I managed to set up a SQL database and get an automated gallery running on my site. My sense of color continues to improve, via practicing on pages of Berserk - which, in turn, continues to kick more ass than previously thought possible by modern science.
Susumu Hirasawa has another DVD out, live performance as part of Kaku P-Model, which I will have to save up and get. Vistoron kicks ass.
The Satoshi Kon anime he recently scored, Paranoia Agent, has been running late night on Cartoon Network, and it is obtuse fun of a positively Twin Peaks bent. I'm enjoying it a lot - especially the suicide club episode! Hee - and just picked up the soundtrack, Hirasawa's very first domestic release this side of the pond. It contains a hilarious disclaimer on one of the tracks, something like 'there is nothing wrong with your CD player - industrial music is supposed to sound like this.'
And of course, I loved Half Blood Prince. Whee! Dark! :D
