Drabble for theriversdream (Peri/Five)

As I'm on a massive Who kick, this is the first challenge I've completed for the meme. (Totally not a proper drabble - I'm just not that economical.)

A Peri/Five scene for teh rivers dream! Contains slight lusting.



Modesty Is Cricket

"You have."

"I haven't!"

"You have," he said with finality, and gave a little sigh as he frowned disappointedly at her. He had expected his belongings would stay where he put them, now Turlough was gone.

Nervous steps brought her closer as she protested. "Please, Doctor - why should I go messing with your things?"

He tilted his head back to look suspiciously down on her. "I don't know..."

She sighed back at him, brows knitted in frustrated concern. "Look, I... I'll keep an eye out, okay? If I see it I'll be sure to let you know."

"Mmm." He looked distant, disconnected.

Peri took another step closer. "Does it really bother you that much? You didn't even have it when we met - and there's bound to be another one that's suitable, somewhere on the ship, surely?"

"That is not the point," he scolded, but snapped back into motion at last, hands moving confidently over the TARDIS console. "But I suppose you're right, it's not worth making such a fuss over. I'm sure it'll turn up."

It took all his strength not to eye her and add, "Won't it."

Peri smiled brightly, looking relieved - a sure sign of guilt, but he'd let it go. "I'm sure it will, Doctor." She reached his side and leaned over the console a little, watching him adjust their flight. "So, what are you doing now?"

Peri tuned out the words, hearing only the sound of his voice. The explanation was hopeless anyway. Her eyes swept up and down the Doctor's perfect arms, from his hands to his rolled-up shirtsleeves.

She'd return his apparently beloved jacket... later.

:D Glad you like! I find myself wanting to tackle more of this, but it seems like there's about enough UST between these two to light up a flashlight not quite well enough to read by. Peri's an impulsive young thing so that end's not so tough, but the Fifth Doctor seems so utterly not up for it at that point, with just Planet 'bwah companions die/leave/get me to mercy-kill them, don't really want another puppy just yet...' of Fire and Caves 'er oh crap looks like I got this one killed too...' of Androzani.

Are there any audios/books/comics/fanfics/wild ideas that I can look to for inspiration? How do you approach it? Or should I just write Peri's Adventures Clawing Her Way Into The Doctor's Cricketing Gear?

Amusingly in a book called "Warmonger" Peri "comes on" to the Doctor but he (rather stupidly) turns her down. It's not a very good book so I wouldn't recommend it but it has a ton of that UST that you mentioned and it is heavily suggested that in actual fact they did do it but it was edited out in post write.

Audio wise...A new girl joins the crew (an Egyption Princess named Erimem) and her and Peri spend the whole time teasing/flirting with the Doc it is amusing to listen to as the Doctor tosses between teasing/flirting back and being slightly frustrated by it all, he is actually alot more relaxed around them then he is in Androzani, not so desperate in keeping them safe etc.

Fanfic:- None sadly, most Five lovers only like him with Tegan and habor a great dislike for Peri.

One thing I particularly liked about your 6Peri fic is the whole "don't fit anymore" speech...I would love to see that expanded on ;) But if you continued on the whole Cricketing Gear exploits then that would be perfect :D on the whole I'm just desperate for 5Peri fic as I was never to fond on the Fifths past companions.

Not to mention the fact that in the first few scenes of Androzani he is more comfortable around her then in a dozen stories with the others.

i resent your suggestion that five lover only like him with tegan, i don't like him with any female companion lol

Of course not some Five lovers either like the "asexual" theory (yak!) or themselves as a perfect companion for him lol.

Please notice that I said "most" indeed the minority of fans like the Tegan/Doctor ship, I however like a selected few don't like Tegan and prefer other companions to her.

Thank you for your comment nonetheless, in the future I shall keep my shipping preferences to myself.
